Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. How Billing Works

Clauseo operates on a prepaid credit system. There are no subscriptions, billing cycles, or recurring charges. Users purchase credits in advance, and credits are consumed as the Service is used. Each AI response deducts credits based on the actual API calls made, and the cost of each response is transparently displayed per message.


2. Credit Purchases

2.1. Credits are purchased in Indian Rupees (INR) through Razorpay. All purchases are final upon successful payment.

2.2. Credits are generally non-refundable once purchased, except as described in Sections 4 and 5 below.

2.3. Purchased credits remain valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Any unused credits remaining after this validity period will expire and cannot be recovered, extended, or refunded.

2.4. Credits are personal to your account and are non-transferable to other accounts.


3. Promotional & Invite Credits

3.1. Credits received through initial free allocations, promotional offers, or invite codes are provided at the Company's discretion and:

  • Have no cash value and are non-refundable
  • Are non-transferable
  • May be subject to additional terms specified at the time of issuance
  • May have shorter validity periods than purchased credits

3.2. The Company may modify or discontinue promotional credit offers at any time without prior notice.


4. When Refunds or Credits May Be Issued

4.1. Platform Errors. If a research session fails or produces no usable output due to a verified platform-side error, including but not limited to server failure, infrastructure outage, or a confirmed bug, and not network issues on your end, the credits consumed in that session will be restored to your account. This restoration is a credit adjustment and not a monetary refund. To request restoration, email within 7 days of the incident and provide details of the session and the error encountered.

4.2. Billing Errors & Duplicate Charges. If you are charged incorrectly or charged more than once for the same purchase, we will issue a full monetary refund of the erroneous or duplicate amount. Billing errors must be reported to within 30 days of the charge. Valid refunds will be investigated and processed within 5–10 business days via Razorpay to the original payment method.

4.3. Service Discontinuation. If the Clauseo is permanently discontinued in its entirety, the Company will refund the value of any unused and unexpired credits on a pro-rata basis. This does not apply to individual feature changes, modifications, or temporary service interruptions.


5. What Is Not Refundable

5.1. Credits that have been consumed, that is, used for completed research sessions where the AI delivered output, regardless of whether the output was useful to you, are not refundable. The Service provides AI-generated research, and the quality, relevance, or usefulness of that research for your specific needs is not guaranteed (see Section 2 of the Terms of Use).

5.2. Credits that expire after the applicable validity period, one year from the date of purchase, are not refundable.

5.3. Unused credits remaining at the time of voluntary account closure are not refundable.

5.4. Credits remaining at the time of account suspension or termination for breach of the Terms of Use are forfeited.

5.5. Promotional, free, or invite-based credits are not refundable under any circumstances.


6. Account Closure

6.1. You may close your account at any time through the product interface or by emailing .

6.2. Upon account closure:

  • Your access to the Service ends immediately.
  • Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Any unused purchased credits are forfeited (not refunded).

6.3. If you wish to use your remaining credits before closing your account, do so before initiating closure.


7. Taxes

7.1. All refunds are processed exclusive of any non-refundable taxes, payment processing fees, or government charges, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

7.2. If GST or other taxes were charged on the original purchase, the refund will include the proportionate tax amount where required by law.


8. Changes to This Policy

The Company may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through email or in-product notification at least 15 days before the effective date. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
